Planning for this Project

Firstly a questionnaire was given to local children.
The next steps in The Plan:
All of these steps were taking place under considerable time pressure, preparing for the Workshop at MELTA 2012 in early June.
Firstly a questionnaire was given to local children.
The next steps in The Plan:
- Some children were selected to be interviewed, and have their photos taken. The children were asked to draw some pictures.
- Then some stories were written (in English). These stories were then tested on the children.
- Books and/or Booklets were then produced (self-published).
All of these steps were taking place under considerable time pressure, preparing for the Workshop at MELTA 2012 in early June.

Plans for the Workshop
At the workshop we plan to present the questionnaire and the results as well as the stories written for the children and their responses to them.
Participants will then be given opportunity to create stories using responses from the questionnaires.
It is hoped that at least some Workshop Participants will have a continuing interest in this project, returning to their schools and using questionnaires on their own students and then making and sharing stories with others.
It is intended to put as many stories as possible on this website.

Beginning to Write Stories
"Write a story" - it sounds easy if you say it quickly! Here are some notes on what I need to think about as I prepare for each and every story.
